NCYC (aka Newport Church Youth Club) happens monthly on a Friday evening, 6.30-8.00pm.
It's aimed at young people in school years 7-11 and is run by a team of volunteers from the church. Entry is £1.
There's time for games like table tennis, pool table and table football, cards and board games or just chilling and chatting. Each month we also spend a chunk of the evening learning a new skill together, usually lead by a visitor who can teach us a thing or two.
We've tried rapping, chocolate moulding, first aid, dance and up-cycling old clothes to name a few activities. We usually learn something and always have a laugh doing so!
All this is finished off with hot chocolate and toast or something to eat and drink and a chat around the table.
We meet in either the church or hall depending on our activity.
We've got a great, friendly bunch and would welcome any secondary school aged youngsters to join us.
